Maybe it was his lanky frame, or his measured, precise way of speaking. But Eric always gave you the uncanny sense that he could peer over the horizon. Yes, he was the smartest guy in the room -- in the best sense -- but also the most empathetic and decent. His wry sense of humor was just below the surface. I was privileged to work with Eric for the two years I served as Dynamicsoft's public relations director. My condolences to his family. We lost a good one.
